Coffee, Anyone?!

Many years back, an Uncle of mine told me that drinking coffee was actually good for my lungs, because it had a drug which would stimulate them, causing the lungs to open up a bit. Can't recall what the drug he was referring to is, but for that reason I started drinking coffee.

I really didn't start becoming a coffee drinker until I was 24, though I think my Uncle told me that before I became a coffee drinker.
I try to moderate my coffee per day, because I found I break out if I drink way too much. I also will have a sharp drop in my blood sugar level if I don't have some food along with the coffee, or at least add cream to it (I normally have it black).

After my incident last Tuesday, the wife was insisting I stop drinking coffee-something nearly impossible to request, especially if I already own two coffee makers, a bean grinder, 5 coffee cups and a 5 pound bag of coffee!!

It had me wondering how many other CF'rs out there drink coffee on a regular basis? It may be subconcious for me that it helps my lungs, but I vaguely recall on the Wikipedia for coffee, it showed a lot of merits, and only a few demerits, some of which were not 100% sure.

I do drink coffee, but no more then 2 cups a day. IF I drink more then that I feel dehydrated, naucious & often have the lung bleeds.

If I stick to my 2 cups in the morning I feel it does help with opening the airways.
