I woke up this morning with the ache in my throat indicating I am getting a cold. Either that or I had a lot of post-nasal drip over night. Let's hope for the latter. Colds are inevitable for me, it happens atleast twice a year, but the worst part about it is instead of being a week or two it generally turns into a 6 week ordeal where I have a cough that rivals Chewbacca and I end up in the hospital for a few weeks.
I was wondering if anyone had tips on any effective preemptive strike I can do to weaken or shorten the cold. I have never tried Zicam, has anyone had luck with it? I have, however, used Airborne when I was teaching and although the art teachers and I cleverly nicknamed them Body of Christ wafers, they didn't seem to help at all. I am thinking lots of fluids and maybe vitamin C?
