I know that some of your received word from your CF clinic about the pre-mixed colistin issues and the FDA investigation, CFF statement, etc. Colistin is prescribed for my husband and we didn't hear anything from the clinic...I of course found out about it here. I am concerned that his clinic didn't call or email or something...but before I fly off the handle, I want to see what other clinics do...so, did your clinic inform you?

No, we werent but Mark wasn't RX'd it from our clinic. and he has the stuff that isn't pre mixed (if you need some, we have PLEANTY and live close <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">)

My clinic didn't call, but informed me at my regular appointment on Monday, which was the first I'd heard of it. They didn't give me any details though - just said not to pre-mix it and that someone's pharmacist mixed the whole month's supply at once and that patient had a real problem. Was this talked about in more detail elsewhere on the forum? I'm really curious now...
