Compressor Question

Giggles

New member
I have seen many posts on this subject but it seems there are conflicting opinions/experiences. So, let me know what you think I should do. One of the meds I take is TOBI and I inhale it with the Pari Pro Neb cups and then I have a compressor that I use called Mister Neb. It is suppose to be equivalent to a ProNeb Ultra compressor but I am not sure that is REALLY the case. My TOBI takes me about 40 minutes to inhale.

The question is do you think my Mister Neb compressor stinks? Should I get the ProNeb Ultra compressor???

Please advise.

Yes I think you should get a new compressor.

Although I would consider the DeVilbiss compressor if you can't get the Eflow. The new version of the ProNeb (the ProNeb ii) is worthless. Many of us have returned them and gotten replacements that aren't really any better. The model is defective IMO and hopefully it's just a matter of time before they pull it from the market and come out with the next generation. Have you contacted your area rep for the Eflow? They'll contact your insurance and your doctor and get everything squared away. Then they'll send you the device and your Tobra reformulation. It really is a superior method of administering meds and it's a lot faster...even with the cleaning.

Jennifer,

My tobi takes 40 minutes also no matter what compressor I use. I just got a new Devilbiss, so hopefully my tobi won't take as long when I try it next month with the new machine. I've never heard of Mr. Neb... he sounds cute, but he must be lazy, huh? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Cheers,

Takes about 25 minutes using either the Devillbiss or the Pari Proneb Ultra II. I did notice this summer that it took 5-10 minutes longer using the Devilbiss -- assumed it was because of increased humidity.
