Does your hospital allow your children to visit you while you are in lockup? I'm sure my doctor will discourage it but can they really not allow it?

I think if you tell them you are breastfeeding, that might help. I 've heard that some moms have even gotten their children to room in with them when they've been in (don't know how true that is, but I mean, what's a breastfeeding mom gonna do?) - so I would imagine they can't really say your nursing child cannot at least come to visit you - tell them he must have a snack before bed!

I don't have kids but I have always had my "niece" and nephew visit when I am in. I usually tell them to wait at least a week though so I can make sure I am not still really sick. My dr came in when my "niece" was there last time and he didn't say anything. I would call your dr now and see what he/she thinks. Especially like Wanderlost said, if you are BFing then I don't see why they would say no.

I would be careful having a CFer visiting you in the hospital. He's vulnerable to all the bugs floating around and I would hate for him to pick up MRSA or PA while visiting you.
