Cost of Sweat Test

I know you all are probably wondering why this is in the adult section. I am 38 and had a sweat test in 1970. I need to have two done to participate in the Aztreanam expanded access program. Insurance may not cover it because I am already being treated for CF. I just want to have an idea of what I might have to spend. Also, besides drinking a lot of water, are there other good ways to assure a "good test". Thanks for your replys.

I'm sorry I can't help you with cost estimates, but might I suggest you post something in the Families section, if you haven't already. I'll bet there are some Mamas that can answer the question for you.

I'm pretty sure a sweat test is under $200, as I volunteered with an organization during college that would pay to get people tested who could not afford it. Sadly, they are no longer around otherwise I'd suggest seeing if they could help shoulder the cost.
