cough help

I have asthma which i always cough, alpha 1 and, Primary Immune def, and they think cf. I did cultures of stuff i coughed up and it doesnt show anything. I didnt refridgerate them. I am so annoyed with the cough i need a switch to flip it off. Cough med with codone help but i hate taking it feel like addict. Cause have to keep taking more as i get use to it make it stop. The stuff i am coughing up is dark green with brownish tint. I am on iv steriods thur my port I was better at high doses but as i come down every 2-4 days it just getting worse. My lungs hurt when i breathe and when i sleep i sleep so light i wake up cause it hurts and then can't get back to sleep. I am on tobi 1 month on 1 month off. What else can i do or should i try? I drinking lots of tea with honey as my thoart feel like it is on fire. I am at my wits end. The nights are the worse no one online to talk to. I dont have many friends. Hi Rachel, I'm so sorry you're feeling so low. You will find lots of caring friends on this site. Has your doctor done genetic testing for CF? If so are you attending a CF clinic. This is very important in order to get the correct treatment. Where are you from? Maybe someone online can put you in touch with the nearest clinic?

i am from vegas. I have had the testing done they think i have one of the viarients that isnt found yet. I had the ambry test.
