no im not in the hospital at the moment. I do all my treatment at home with the help of my mum. The hospital is aware of the bleeding and have given me tranexamic acid tablets 4times a day to help with clotting.
Never thought of vitamin k. maybe worth a try?

Here's a link to an article about hemoptysis and what causes it. Be sure to let your doctor know what's going on. Having a written record of this sort of thing is always good.

Yes, I'd definitely ask your dr. about that! asap <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> . The only time I had any real problems with coughing up blood was for a short spell in college when I wasn't taking my vitamin k supplements (I don't remember why...)

Amy's advice is something to heed!
From my experience with hemoptysis (which is extensive) it is a very scary thing to happen. And it can turn with a drop a of a hat. It can either get better or get alot worse. I would get myself in the hospital asap and let them monitor you. It can't hurt to be next them just in case.
You might need to be embolized if it doesn't stop. This isn't something to panic about buts its not something to take lightly either.
If you have any others questions please feel free to pm me.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon!
