Crazy FVC

Hello
Well i've been in America for 8 weeks now and went to clinic today. When i left manchester my FVC was at 3.0 (82% i think, our machines aren't computerised to tell us)), which was high for me, i was very pleased My FEV1 was at 1.95 (66%), which was highish for me too . Anyway I had my PFT's done today and my FVC has lept up to 3.34 (92%). So this is an increase of 10%?! I am very shocked by this as just hitting 3.0 in September was a massive accomplishment. Also my FEV1 was actually down to 1.85 (63% - not significantly different i know, but not up). Is this just a difference in the machines in the way they measure FVC? Or is this real? And if so what does this mean for the FEV1 reading? If so how can these machines really be useful if they can be 10% apart? I do feel good, but i have a cough just starting to come on, certainly not something that would make me think a 10% rise!
Any thoughts?

The only thing that should vary is the predicted values. Different doctors use various predicted values and thus I assume that other countries are the same. If your actual number is 3.34, than that is what it is. Maybe you just got better coaching...the goods new is an increase in FVC means you can get an increase in FEV1...
