I want to second Terri's comment about what effect will come of the testing: whenever the doctors ask for a test that you're wary of, press them to tell you if any aspect of treatment will be revised based on the results of the test: I find that doctors have a pretty strong desire to know definitively what's going on inside but that sometimes it does not affect the treatment regimen and when that's the case I tend to veto their test requests for our 2 year-old unless.
