Cultured B.Cepacia

The doctor said he wants to do a bronchoscope so he can get a sample of the lung tissue. He wants to make sure there wasn't any cross contamination. As for the pseudomonas/cepacia, he was diagnosed with PA last year, and ther was no mention of cepacia, so I do not think it is cepacia related. All I know is, since my son was born, we have been told the cepacia is the worst bacteria he could get in his lungs. And now 12 years later he has it. It terrifies me to think of his future.

I have nothing usefull to say about the cepacia. But, I wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear about you mom, and the changes you are having to go through at home and with your son. If it were me, that dog would put me right over the edge! I wish you strength to get through the next several months until you can establish a "new normal." I will keep you in my prayers.

I just wanted to chime in, since I just now read this thread. I wish to tell you how sorry I am that you have lost your mom--it's going to be a hard Mother's Day for you. Then add all the other problems--you sure have weights around your neck!!! Please feel free to come here and vent--we will try to be here for you. I hope your little boy (even though he's 12) will keep up his good spirit, and keep up the fight. I will pray that you can get strength to face all these obstacles.
