Culturing both PA and MRSA but only treating one prophylactically

I have tried Zyvox. It was very effective. Although I was only on it once and rebounded to an ill state quickly after being on it. I'm not sure if it was related or not. My doc puts me on Vanco then next round he'll do Zyvox. For my PA the same, we rotate Merrem and Zosyn. We throw Tobra in there for synergistic benefits. Lately though, with my increased freq of IVs, he's skipping the Tobra sometimes due to the evidence of frequency causing hearing loss. I recently got a port to make IVs easier. I guess I'll just be doing them more often now with no other option.
