hey everyone, im on the first day of my 3rd week in the hospital, and i am two seconds short of losing my mind. has anyone else noticed that the night shift of nurses seem to have a lack of... intelligence. i just got transitioned into the adult program because "im a good trainer for these nurses and attendings because i wont sugarcoat anything and will tell it like it is" sooo because of that i have 3 signs on door for the contact precautions, 2 signs that say do not wake up between 10 and 6, and still have to cuss people out all day long. anyone have any suggestions for saving my sanity for the next 7 days? id request leaving early because im seriously two seconds short of strangling a night nurse or pca with a stethoscope, but my fev1 was only 60 after 2 weeks and i dont feel like having them drop back to 40 next week. ive read 4 books, written til my hands are sore, colored like crazy, even went out and bought a broadband card on my verizon account because they dont have wifi here... running out of ideas.
hope everyones feeling well... its ALMOST spring... boo for allergies, but YAY for warmth and sun and warmth =)
