I'mwondering if any of you notice that you or your children WOCF show any symptoms? I know they say that you either have cf or you don't but I notice that myseof and my sons have just some of the symptoms but don't have cf. One son has gi problems, and doesn't eat, the other son had asthma when he was younger and all his cold go into his chest. I myself have problems with asthma and reflux.

I have heard of carriers expressing symptoms. Some may need enzymes, respratory care, ect. It is possible. But I think it would be hard to diagnose. If you are sure that you are all carriers, I would bring this up w/ a CF specialist.HOpe this helps,Debbie22 yr old w/ CF

My sister does not have CF, but she is a carrier and she has. My uncle also has lots of sinus problems...I actually heard that some people think that carriers may have some symptoms, but I don't know if there is any scientific data about it.

I was told by one doc that carriers are occasionally symptomatic. Some may even have extremely mild cases of CF and never be dx'd because they may have a rare mutation. I hope this helps.Andrea

I have also heard that carriers also may have more sinus probs than those who are not. I have CF..and have a bro with CF...our dad has TERRIBLE sinus probs..and is actually having more probs with heartburn also. Dont know how much of this has been proven yet...but seems to be true in our case. Also I know my dad carries the Delta F508 mutation...as well as my mom...with no probs...?????????????Dea
