DIOS and other problems

I have had problems with DIOS with several years. I had stomach pains after eating and was diagnosed by a stomach x-ray. I was taking 12 sachets of Movicol daily for about 3 months (the usual dose is 1-2!) However after having more x-rays to check was it working it still hadn't cleared. I don't have the pains any more but still have really bad bloating. Lately the bloating is so bad I have no confidence going out because I look pregnant. Anyway I spoke to my dietitian and cf team and they just said that Movicol is their usual plan of action Just wondering....does anyone have any experience of enemas to treat DIOS?
Also, I absolutely cannot tolerate peanuts or cream. If I eat either of these things I am in agony and have diarrohea within minutes. Anyone else have this?

I have had some serious bowel obstructions before that have caused so much pain that I have wanted to cut my stomach open to relieve the pressure.

My CF nurse in NJ told me that DIOS is very serious and that if left untreated it can kill you...

I am unfamiliar with the medicatios that you are on, I think it is something different in this country...

My intestines are not in good shape at all I am very careful with myself when I feel my stomach getting punky I take miralax right away and go on a clear liquid diet.

I also can't tolerate rich foods, I just get so bloated.. My stomach is huge, not just from bloating but also from all the steroids I am on.

Hope you feel better soon,

Jennifer
