Distilled water for Avent

My new Avent was just delivered today. I'm wondering what is the shelf life and how should I store opened bottles of distilled water? Or is shelf life indefinite because the water reaches a boil in the sterilizer?
Thanks, Barbara

There is an expiration date that I noticed on the Distilled water. I just use mine and store it in a cabinet and close lid tight after each use. I go through about a bottle in less than a week and half so it goes fast. I dont think there is too many concerns about storage, but that is just my opinion.

I am waiting for my Avent too!!!! I hope you like it!

Good luck!

I would think that, if you are getting the temperature of the water high enough to use the steam to disinfect the nebs, that you can use the distilled water for a long time because anything growing the water will be killed in the Avent. I use the Avent and buy distilled water in gallon jugs and just keep them on top of the fridge. I think one jug lasts me like a month.

Thanks for your replies. I was lazy today and didn't make it out to get some water...I think I'm buying into the idea that because the water gets so hot, I don't need to worry about it becoming unsterile. Maybe I'll email the RT at my CF center about it, for the heck of it.
