I think rebound relationships are only needed if the person on rebound needs one. Sometimes dating someone immedicately after a break up can help you to get over the initial hump, but if you have space in between I think you can heal naturally. I'm not a big rebound relationship fan...I prefer to rebound flings...just one or two dates or kisses to get you back out and to start forgetting about the last one.

If you are worried this might be a rebound relationship then just keep your eye on your feelings Listen to yourself and hopefully you will know if it is or not.

I feel the same way as Amy.
Rebounds can sometimes temporarily help to relieve the anger, hurt and loneliness, but those are issues you need to work out on your own, and once you do then you are ready to start forming new relationships. When i was first going thru my divorce , i felt like the most important thing to do was to find someone right away. I did have a rebound relationship that lasted a few months, but i knew he wasnt the one i would stay with. Rebound relationships usually dont work out unless you have been emotionally un-involved with the ex for some time . The fact that you arent angry anymore is a good sign, you might be ready to start dating .
