Do you eat like a horse?

I am 5'4 and 130lbs. I do not take enzymes. I exercise on average three days a week run/jog for 5 miles. But I eat and eat and eat a lot. I don't seem to gain weight but boy can I eat. Plus, I don't get overly stuffed that often. I will have a sandwich and chips for lunch and then a bowl of cereal to top it off. Then dinner I eat my whole plate and then clean up my kids plates. I know thats pathetic but I am a very good eater. Anyone else with this huge appetite and not gain weight?

I used to be like that when I was in my 20s and earlier. Since I hit 30 I can eat like that no more... at least not without gaining weight. My metabolism has slowed, but my appetite hasn't. Hence my chubby-CFer status. ~Juliet

My appetite varies but I eat a lot for my size. I'm 5'4.5" and 120 lbs and I don't need enzymes. When I am very active I eat quite a bit but usually more spaced out rather than all at once. Like right now...I had 2 servings of soy ravioli for dinner less than 2 hours ago, picked off my toddlers plate before that and now I want pretzels. Food doesn't go to waste in my home.

With your mutations, same as mine, I have no idea why you aren't on enzymes. Just because you can maintain/gain weight isn't a good reason. I hope your doc has done a fecal fat elastase test to determine this plan of care.

Before I got pregnant I ate pretty normally well since having him (and acquiring MRSA) I now have to eat probably double. I take 3 Ultrase MT20 with meals and 1-2 with snacks.

Maybe I need to consider taking more enzymes...hmm this has got me thinking. Although I'm real regular. Two sinkers, twice a day. Nothing much PI about that off course though that is with the help of Ultrase.

And yeah it might be cheaper to get enzymes than to have to eat like you are. Remember to quality over quantity. Maybe if you weren't having to prepare so much food you could do better staying away from simple carbs and up your fruit and veggie in take.

Just some thought :)
