i find it interesting that the UK uses this and not the Vest.

I can't find any publications about the device on their site...

Looks interesting... I guess I'd have to try it first. And see some clinical data of course

One of the patients at our center who was waiting for a transplant in ICU got the first machine in the US. He started using it in the hospital in ICU and in a matter of weeks he was stabilized, out of ICU, and went home.
Unfortunately, since it is so new here, there isn't much data and home health companies don't want to service it because they aren't familiar.

Are you in Buffalo? I watched the news clip that talked about the guy who used in the ICU and went home, is that who you are talking about? It does seem to be a very exciting possibility.

Yes, in Buffalo. Unfortunately the CF adult doc left and is no longer with the center. He worked hard to get the machine pushed through and approved. Its too bad he's gone.
