I am a germ freak. I put the plastic eFlow nebs in the dishwasher that i use only for washing nebs and I put the head in alcohol (which kills PA).

This takes maybe 2 more minutes than cleaning my PARI nebs, at the most, and saves me over 15 minutes two times a day in colistin nebulization time.

No question in my mind - the eFlow is rad.

But you can't put the E-flow plastic in the dishwasher after each treatment and have it dry in time for your treatment later, can you? I dishwash or boil my PARI after every single treatment, but I also have about 7 sets so I don't need them immediately that same day. The E-flow I have came with ONE set and I don't run my dishwasher every morning with nothing else in it (even if I did, my new dishwasher takes 2 1/2 hours to clean and disinfect and I'm not going to be able to get them out immediately after 2 1/2 hours every day so they can air dry.

How do you do this? Do you have more than just one set of the plastic stuff? Where do you order extra?

I was sterilizing all parts by leaving them all in alcohol when not in use. The rubber had shrinkage issues that caused leaking. Now I still soak the head in alcohol but I sterilize the parts in the Avent IQ 24 which was recommended to me by Eurand the new name of Source CF the distributor of the Eflow to the 3 pharmacies in the US.

I ordered extra plastic pieces from the place where I got my eFLow. No big deal.

And my dishwasher takes 45 minutes.... so that's plenty of time to dry the plastic for my next treatment anyway.

and if the dishwasher took longer, i'd just soak the parts in alcohol like i did when i was overseas using my eFlow. soaking in alcohol for 20-30 disinfects & kills PA just fine.
