Ok so this was inspired by Scarlett81's topic on favorite foods and it reminded me of something. Its going to seem really random but I was just wondering...
When I was younger, probably first grade, I believe, so late eighties, into early 90's, I was involved in a study done at Rhode Island Hospital. Now that is NOT my current clinic and never was, but I just participated in this study for some reason that I do not recall. This was a CF related study on diet and high calorie snacks and such. So anyway, I dont remember much...but i used to get prizes for going and eating certain food or something. TROPHIES!!! LOL They used to have these trophies custom made for each of us and we got to pick what we wanted. It was really cool. Anyway I also remember that they used to tape me eating. How horrible does that sound?? We used to have to measure every little bit of food before and after eating and they would set up a camcorder (the study ppl, I guess), right next to me at the dinner table (they came to my house to set this all up)...omg humiliating, even for a first grader...they taped till I was completely done eating.
So the point of this story....Does anyone know if this happened across other parts of the country? Or was anyone on here in that study with me? No offense tho, I prob wouldnt remember. I do know there were like a few other kids a little older than me. And on another random side note....I was doing research at my college last year on CF and I came across the results of this EXACT study, stored in my college's database....WEIRD! So I contacted the Dr involved in the study and she REMEMBERED me!!! wooooot wooooooot! LOL
