I've been trying to advocate to anyone who will listen the idea that if everyone gave just 10% of the rebate to a charity, it would put something like $11 billion (billion!) into the hands of charities this year at a time when they need it more than ever.

It also gets the donor a tax deduction next year for the charitible contribution and puts 100% of that money to work since you won't spend part of it on your state sales tax by buying something.

Does anyone know when the rebate gets mailed out? I had been thinking to hold off mailing our fundraising letter til after the rebates get mailed; when people feel like they have a little extra $; perhaps they are more likely to make a donation to CFF.
