so the eFlow wasn't developed for the new medication, aztreonam. and it's debatable if aztreonam will replace TOBI. that will depend on many issues on a patient by patient basis.

the eFlow has been out for 3 1/2 years. if you would like to learn more about the clinical studies conducted with its use with tobramycin, pulmozyme and even denufosol, check out my blog.

sakasuka,

I didn't read your whole blog on the eflow, my attention span won't allow me. However, I did read enough and looked at the pics to know I want it for my little one. She's 4 1/2 and starting to really want to play during treatments. My concern however is the mouth piece. Do you know if you can attache a Mr Bubbles face mask to it? With this, she can roam around the house as well, correct? Just put the "base" in your pocket?

Holy cow, that thing looks awesome.

So you do use pulmozyme. I'm going to continue to research, but what have you found about Tobi? Will it work?

I first dismissed it when I was told Tobi wouldn't work, but heck, that thing would still be worth it even if she's still tied down for the one Tobi treatment.

Have you tried the mouthpiece with Tobi? We do it once in awhile with DS -- though he prefers the mask, so he can play video games while nebbing/vesting -- hands free. He does fairly well doing the mouthpiece, too. He's the same age as your child.
