Well I have attempted to post these studies on the site with little success because the quality was poor.

If you take TOBI and/or pulmozyme, read up on these studies.

Show them to your doctor. Many physicians have never seen the studies.

Educate yourself.

There are more studies that i have posted than just this (like taking a look at pulmozyme concentration in sputumand once I find them in a read-able format, I'll post.

Thanks for the info...

I think i will print these out and take them to my next appointment and see what my doctor tells me or the nurse. Sounds like a quicker way of taking meds...

I wonder why they haven't mentioned it...

My doctors have talked about the eFlow for the last year and a half. I have wanted it so bad, but my insurance company always has to be so complicated. I am calling the doctor again today. The thing about the eFlow is that insurance companies would be ridiculous to not support it because: 1)patient compliance is so much higher due to the short amount of time to take meds, and 2) according to my doctor's calculations, the money that they would save in two months by purchasing lower doses of my medications (to be used in the eFlow) would basically reimburse the cost of it. TWO MONTHS and it would have paid for itself. Siiigh...The eFlow is so cute--it looks like a little UFO.

I think you all should definitely look into it!

Anyone out there with experience using it who can talk about maintenance of the eFlow unit?

I've read a few comments here and there that make it sound like the cleaning routine is more complicated than regular air compressor nebs...I'd be interested to know what users think before I get too enthused about pressing my son's doctor to prescribe one...

Yes the eflow seems more difficult to clean (I have one). It actually takes longer to clean the parts than to actually do the med itself. But like Amy said, its better for us all to do it the right way and in turn, we will get fewer infections and like everyone has been saying...insurance will be greatful for that!
