FAFSA tips

Wondering if anyone has any tips for FAFSA.

I really have no clue what I'm doing... but I have a feeling I'm going to need to borrow more money than the average Joe to pay for my medical bills.....

I won't be working at all and my parents will not be supporting me.

Somehow my income for 2006 matters to these people despite the fact that I won't be working while at school... I don't really understand how that comes into play.

Any tips would be wonderful. Thank you in advance!!!!

Hey, when I don't know something, I have no issues saying it. It just so happens that almost everything I have encountered in my life so far I have dedicated time and effort to know as much about it as I currently can.

Student loans are something I have no clue about. But rest assured, I will dive into it and learn as much as humanly possible just as everything else I have encountered in my life.

You have come to the right place.. I am FAFSA Queen.. I will talk to you and help you

You have to apply for the FAFSA and then make a direct appeal to the FIN aid office in the school you are going to.. You have to write a letter and tell them your case of major change of income status.. It worked really well for me

I miss you

Student days...oh the memories. I managed to get plenty extra from college hardship funds, with a little imagination and ingenuity.
Do you have to pay back student loans once you graduate? We do but only if you earn over a certain amount, which is 80% of the average income, works out about £2400 a month. Luckily for me I earn well below that. LOL
That reminds me I better fill out my deferment form for the year.

Amy, after you fill out your FASFA and the school recieves it, contact their fin. aid department and ask about sending in paperwork so that they can adjust your COA. You will have to send in your food bills (I think I remember you saying you keep track of these), medical bills, rent/mortgage and anything that they can increase your cost of attendance. They probably also have forms that you can fill out, such as a change in income, so that they re-vamp your COA and income based on the current situation, not last years.

Good luck with the fasfa. I am no longer working, but they told me I had to use my income from last year when applying because it was based of off last year and not now. That stinks!!!! My fasfa also got selected for a "review" so I had to send in copies of every tax document I had plus anything that even looked like income. I'm still waiting to see what I get and what I get to borrow. (yeah, like borrowing is a privelidge-I so love debtisgust
