FDA speaks on asthma inhalers like symbicort,advair, etc

For those of you with asthma and that take an inhaler like that what are your thoughts. Do you take it for a 30days period to get things under control and then stop taking it? What are the true risks. Does doing albuteral along with this reduce the chance of death. Honestly I don't know much about asthma related death.
