I called CF pharmacy this am to clear up a billing error I have been wrestling with since late August and...

I had to PRESS 2 for English!!

Immigrants need to learn to speak english - end of rant.
Please correct me if someone knows that CF Pharmacy does their primary business in Mexico.

This is such a touchy subject where I live.

We live in El Paso, TX. When I drive on the highway I can look to my left and I am looking at Mexico.

My husband's company was going to be sued by some group last year that said they should have someone working there that speaks spanish. They said his company was being "racist" by not employing someone that speaks spanish.

I can not even walk into a WalMart here and speak to an employee that speaks english.

We are looked down on for not knowing spanish.

This pisses me off!! The last time I looked we are still in the US and these people should know english!

We have a very high spanish speaking population for a small area. Everything influences it from the Social Service Assistance to the low school scores due to the langauge barriers. I encourage many people here to have Spanish as their second langauage in school, but its not to accomodate those that cant/wont/dont learn English. I encourage spanish as a 2nd langauge for their personal use in travel etc or employement etc. We have Puerto RIcan neighbors (who I adore) come & TRY to play a simple game of Pictionary. We couldnt do it because they didnt know the words. Until that day I didnt realize how limited they must be.......I cant imagine!

That's funny, I was calling them last week and I thought the same thing when I heard that. I don't really care, but I noticed it too. Odd.

I'm talking about the pharmacy called CF Services that the CF Foundation supports. It' s in Bethesda, Maryland.
I live in PA and use Caremark for the majority of my meds. I went to them because I was having trouble finding the Acapella Choice...everyone carried the Quake.

A fish processing factory in Scotland has offered its employees lessons in Polish as they have 150 poles out of the 600 workers so as to not let them feel ''left out''.

And I thought having a grip of the English language was a must for migrant workers to the UK.
I guess things like these happen the world over, scared of law-suits no doubt.
