Hey James,

I have all three of those probs.. I do Advair, Nexium and Verimyst (i was switched to verimyst from flonase as it is supposed to cause less nose bleeds) along with nasal irrigations (2x day) and the Verimyst (2x day) things have been going pretty well Thank You God !!

I do try to stay hydrated (nose always gets so stuffy from heat during the winter months) I also will do extra irrigations if i am really stuffy..

If you get a nose bleed you are supposed to hold off on the Verimyst..

Hope this has helped joni

Flonase works very well for me, I have had 2 sinus surgeries and it's amazing how much more crap you blow out when you combine an intranasal steroid with regular irrigation. I typically use simply saline to irrigate, however like some others mentioned I'm not always compliant with my irrigation.

I am in the same boat as Lindsay. I was prescribed Flonase a couple years ago and tried it for about a month but found no difference. I had sinus surgery in December and have been doing the sinus rinses 2x/day since. I have also recently added the Flonase back in as I figured it couldn't hurt and my sinuses are about as clear as they are ever going to be so it was a good time to try.

My son has been on flonase for several years and is happy with it - he does notice a difference if he skips or doesn't notice the bottle is empty and hasn't really been getting the medicine for a couple of days (they are a very dark glass colored bottle, very hard to see in there)
