i was at my kid's pediatrician's office yesterday and he was mentioning about the flu mist. He thought the "live" flu mist would provide a better protection/immunity againt the flu than the "killed" flu vaccine. He was not sure if it was ok to give a Cf'er the flu mist , though and wanted me to check with our CF doc. Last year flu season was especially stressful cause the flu shot didn't cover alot of the strains we saw last flu season, so I'm all for getting better protection. he did say the maufacturer of flu mist did have a warning on it for asthma patients, but his thought on that was to prevent frivolous lawsuits. Also, if you are on steroids you should not take the flu mist. Does pulmicort count? Anyway, any thought? Anyone take the flu mist before? I'll be asking our Cf doc just thought you guys might have some practical info.
