Food Allergies

Its frustrating to not be able to just walk into a shop or restaurant and eat whatever everyone else is eating, esp since just about everything contains wheat...but if you really think about what is healthy nourishing food you are ok if you can eat the meat, veggies and rice and you will be probably more well nourished than if you were eating all the processed stuff. There are TONS of allergy recipes online, search for 'egg wheat dairy free recipes'. Try and get 'organ egg replacer', its made from potato flour and enables you to bake things with rice flour (rice flour attempts normally fall apart because it doesn't have the gluten). One thing i would take is a calcium supplement because of the no-dairy, as CF adults are very prone to poor bone density. I don't have anaphylactic food allergies, but have some 'IgG' food allergies and feel better if I stick to my safe diet. Oh and a hint, if you are desperate for bread don't bake a rice flour loaf, rather make a thick batter and fry spoonfulls in a pan to make small pancake type 'slices'. Remember the egg replacer...
