food poisoning and CF

hey guys gotta question for you all.

I believe I have been suffering from food poisoning the past oh not even 24 hours. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and if there is anything else I need to be concerned about with its affects with the CF.
I have gone through the stomach cramping, nausea, vomitting, diarhea and now just feel icky. I got it from salmon I had when we went out last night I do believe. I am feeling better though I still have some mild diarhea, I just didn't want to call the doc over it ... unless there were other problems related to the CF that could arise because of it.

Thanks for any info you guys can share.

Food poisoning + CF = Great fast weight loss.

Also if you can somehow throw in a strong stomache flu to those two, the weight loss will be faster!

I had food poisoning years ago and i remember my doctor telling me to eat plenty of yogurt. It would help the stomach a lot ( the good bacteria in yogurt is great for this). So if you like yogurt this would be a great suggestion. hope you feel better soon

The only problem I can think of with food poisoning and CF, is that if you've got diahrea (sp?), then you're pretty much pooping out all of your enzymes and nutrients. I would think anyway.

Just keep hydrated -- use some sort of electrolyte solution. When DS has gotten a stomach bug we've used pedialyte and white grape juice.

Last week DH and I went out for lunch -- we both had soup and split some cheesy bread and halfway thru my 2nd glass of ice tea I noticed a glob of mold in the bottom of the glass. Bleah! Didn't think anything of it, until I pulled into the driveway and had to do the butt clench walk/run into the house. Was fine after a couple of hour and pretty much just drank carbonated mineral water. DH, who also had the tea was down for the count the rest of the night. Running to the bathroom, had the chills.... Guess I'm tougher
