i don't know if any of you out there are like me or not, but tampons irritate me. so about 2 years ago i did a search on line for alternatives. well i came across this thing called a sea sponge. it is literally a sponge from the sea. i use them instead of tampons and love them!!! they actually just came out with different sizes too which i thought was cool. you can also have sex with them in, sorry if that was a little tmi. anyways here is the website for them. jadeandpearl.com oh yea and by the way they are reusable! yea that's right! when you order them you get two at a time, i just order new ones and it was like 17 bucks total, that included the shipping. in the brochure that comes with the sea sponge it tells you how to clean them. hope you guys like them!

I also cant use tampons.

The Mom of my great niece used those sponges after her daughter was born. She no longer could use tampons & didnt like pads. I think she got hers local to her. Like a healthfood type place since they both only ate organic etc...

I have never tried them since I just use pads.....

it holds bacteria in the body. I never knew if it were accurate or not, but i always used pads any way so i didnt pay much attention to it. I tried tampons a few times, but the problem is my period is usually not too complicated
or painful so with a tampon i would forget its there and forget to remove it, so i realized thats a bad choice for me.
