You know, hospitals have the 5% saline solution in a bag...it's sterile and it works. What you can do is get an attachment for the bag (it allows you to draw the saline from the bag with a seringe) and stick it on it. It comes with a cap so you can close it after each use. My doc said you can keep it in the fridge for about a week....and then just use another
the saline bags are like 2-3 dollars canadian. I'm sure the hospital will give you the siringe and the attachment for free. You can ask them to do it in a sterile environment, otherwise, when you put the attachment on the bag, disinfect both ends first and then do it.
I just ask my pharmacist for the saline and they sell it to me no questions asked. the attachment and syringes i get from my docs.
