CaliSally,
The test performed to determine if and how slow my digestion process might be, was a GASTRIC EMPTYING STUDY.
The medicine they prescribed me was metoclopram, 5 mg (1 each meal).
I just started, so I don't know quite how well it works.
Grendel

I hope this helps <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hey there..I had a gastric emptying study about a two months ago. The morning of I wasn't allowed to take any meds, once at the hospital I ate toast, scrambled eggs that had the radioactive stuff in them and a glass of water. Oh I took my enzymes before then too. So they get a pic of your stomach 20 minutes after that, then take a pic every 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour etc..it really only took me like 2-3 hours. The longest part is waiting the hour in between pictures (the last set of pics). Message me if you have any questions.

I am now on Domperidone for gastroperesis..it is helping a little bit.
Hope this helps.
