General anesthetic and local anesthetic w/sedation

For my bronchs I am knocked out like you said Lindsey.

For my port surgery a couple of years ago I was sedated and then woken up during it. But when I was woken up, it honestly felt like I was paralyzed, I mean I could only move my head I thought (not arms or legs) but maybe the sedation drugs work in such a way you don't really WANT to move??

I was on genral anesthetic when I got my G-tube and blowel plug taken out. I was also on a Ventilator and the docs had all they could do to get me off of the vent. Somthing happened when I was in OR I am not sure what. But I had a really hard time comming back to life. The docs told me that I am to sick to go under ever again. Not sure what all that means but they also said that my lungs can't take it.

I had somthing different given to me when I got my Port. and that worked fine. But man I don't know what I am going to do if I have to have a blowel plug taken out again. So that's my story with being put out.

My doctors didn't want to do any surgery on me either. Have had all my ports under local without sedation even. They were scared my lungs couldn't handle it. That when they put me on the vent my lungs wouldn't pick up anymore. I think that has to do with all the scaring in the lungs.

When I had my transplant the surgeon later told me that when my lungs were out they didn't even deflate...
