Genetic Testing

I believe there are some tests that can test for like 2000 mutations. My husband had a 97 panel test done, and both my CF doctor and my fertility doctor are satisfied with that. They both said, although there are several thousand more possible mutations, the chances of my husband having them are very, very slim. My understanding is that a lot of those odd mutations in the 2000 panel test have been found in only one person. We saw the fertility doctor today, and he said it would be overkill if we did more testing, and that anything over the 70 most common mutations is enough. However, I completely understand wanting to do it for more piece of mind.

I think we paid under $100 for my husband's testing.
