Germ Guardian UV-C Room Air Sanitizer

We were going to replace one of our HEPA filters in our air purifier and came across this air <b>sanitizer</b>...

I know UV light is used in good Central Air Conditioning systems.
Has anyone used this kind of sanitizer before? I haven't found anything on the benefits VS HEPA yet, but I'll keep looking. Just curious.
