I have one drink once in a while and I have to be careful that is doesn't dehydrate me (get in my 8 glasses before and then drink more water later).

I did never understand the "fun thing" about getting drunk...
Whats funny about not remembering what you have done, headaches, dehydration, getting aggressive/loud and so on?
I have been on a lot of parties, danced through many many nights, flirting a lot, enjoying myself but I have never been drunk!

its not that i want to get drunk.. i want to be able to drink..im so tired of people asking me why i dont have a drink in my hand...and i know its easy to just say 'well it doesnt matter, you shouldnt care' but im gonna take a selfish moment and say that i want to be a little more normal in one aspect of my life.

cfrd'ers- do you take your insulin when you drink beer?/booze with carbs in them?

hey there...
I have cf and cfrd. I don't get drunk on a regular basis, but, when I do, I feel particularly "sticky" the next day (probably b/c I'm dehydrated). That's about it for me though. As far as the cfrd, I just take insulin accordingly depending on what I'm drinking. Something sweet and girly I take a few units, beer I only do insulin if I've had a few (there are carbs in beer), and wine I don't really need to worry about. Good luck, have fun, and BE SAFE! After all, you won't know until you try.
