Getting Married In October

My Fiance has CF and Diabetes. Our wedding is In October. We have already booked our Venue & I've already bought my dress. Now, we've been told that he will loose all his benefits because we will make too much money. Is this true? Or is there something else we can sign up for that will help us out? We live in Missouri. Thanks alot!

We were in your shoes (well except that I am the one w/ CF) and we decided not to make it "official". We had a ceremony and everything and only our immediate family knows we never filed any paperwork. It would cost us over $1600 per month to be married - $500 to add me to his insurance (I am permanantly covered under my mom's) and we would lose my income from social security. Sooo... we decided not to go all the way. I know that we are not alone and I have heard of other ppl w/ CF doing the same as me. The money we save by not being married allows me to stay at home w/ our children. I would love to be legally married but we are committed to each other and that is really what matters.
