Getting my lungs better

You will be surprised how much exercise will help you!!! Even if you can only handle a walk do what you can to get your heart rate pumping. It strengthens your lungs and helps you to bring up any mucus. I've been exercising all year and haven't had to go in the hospital, and usually I'm in at least twice a year. My last two tune-ups (almost a year ago) were only 3 months apart, so I got to the gym, on the street, etc. and now being sick is a thing of the past!

If you have comcast, there are tons of work-out routines on demand. I use Wii Fit from time to time and the cardio stuff isn't too hard to handle. Invest in a gym membership and bring a buddy to keep you motivated. OR If the weather's nice, walking or running on the street or in the park is FREE!

And what everyone else said, STAY HYDRATED, especially if you're exercising!

Thanks everyone so much!

I was talking to my friend and told her that until Tuesday, I was going to run around the block a few times..she told me that if I was only really doing it for 3 days, that it wouldn't help me. Even running for two days, I dont expect it to help me totally, but it can definitely help a little bit with the clearing of the mucous, right?
I've definitely been drinking a lot lately, so hot here!
I am going to do my vest extra time today too.
Again, thanks everyone!

Running definetly helps. Even if you only do it once. Everytime I run I always experience after 20-25minutes a consistent cough up session from the deep parts of my lungs. It always helps and come to think of it, I should be doing that too more often <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
Good Luck!

Thanks!

I did the Warwick thing, helped a bunch actually!
and before the vest, I did a 30ish minute run. I feel a lot better, mostly because I totally spit out some of the stuff I had in me.
