Giftwrapping For a Cure! --Philadelphia, PA--

Borders has a program during the holidays where instead of doing giftwrapping themselves they have charities do the wrapping for donations.

Back in the Fall I visited my local Borders store and requested 12/9-12/10 and 12/16-12/17 to be CFF days. I've since organized 2 people to be there at all times during this 4 day event. I have one shift still open on 12/16 that I'm a little stressed about but I'm sure things will work out.

Please pray that the event 1) makes lots of money, 2) that my volunteers show up and 3) that my prego body holds up on me. I'm already giftwrapping 19.5 hrs. between both weekends and just don't think I can handle more than a couple additional hours should people start canceling.

That being said I'm not asking for pity don't get me wrong. I know I got myself into this and I strive on being busy and feel soooo good about doing some good during this holdiay season for cf. It will be fun to see all the holiday shoppers and will surely get me in the holiday mood. This will give me a big jump on my Great Strides goal of $5,000 (hopefully!!) too.

How much money do you think I can expect per person on average?

If you live in the area and are interested in learning more about location / hours specifics just pm me.

Hey Jada,

There is a Borders on Southside Blvd. If you go past the Avenues Mall (on Phillips HWY) and turn left onto Southside it is a mile or so down on the right hand side of the road.

Just wanted to let you know.

Happy Holidays,
Lindsey

Hmm, which Borders in philly?
Might be interested but because of limited modes of travel it might depend whether I can even consider it.

Lauren,

You are always doing so much for this board commitee and that charity...you rock. Don't overdo it though! Rest when you have to rest. Your getting into the most tired phase of preg right now!
Anyway, you're a good example for us all!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

This weekend my group raised $500 through donations at Borders for gift wrapping services we provided. We'll be at it again next weekend which I expect will be bigger and better since it is the last weekend before Christmas!
