Honeslty I dont think I would worry about it, you can always have your gyn take a sample of it and send it off if you are extrelmy worried. When went to the fertility clinic they had to do an exam and the doctor just about fell out of his chair. He was like honestly I can barley see where I am going and see anything, no wonder you cant get pregnant. I was laughing so hard like yep thats my CF for ya. So yes needless to say I have had many gyn's tell me that they have never seen so much and such thick mucus on and around my cervix. It's normal for us Cf'ers just comes with the teritory

I have really thick cervical mucus too, but my gyn just told me "don't rely on it for birth control!" Fortunately, the gyns I have seen for most of my adult life have been very familiar with cf patients, so I never really thought about it until we had trouble conceiving... Sometimes they have had to rub kinda rough to get a papsmear done for me, too, including the bleeding sometimes.

Hi! This isn't gross stuff - this is just our bodies.

I am 37 years old and was just diagnosed with CF this year (long story of a lifetime of misdiagnosis). Before I was even officially diagnosed, I had trouble conceiving both of my kids, and had to take clomid and have artificial insemination. The reason was and is most likely my thick cervical mucus, particularly during ovulation. My doctor told me that I had so much I could have donated it!

But it makes sense: if CFers over-produce mucus, it's going to show up all over the place.

I hope this is helpful. Feel free to ask questions - however "gross" they seem
