got the port today!

just thought id update everyone since i couldnt find my post or i was a little too lazy and exhausted today...
but i got my port placed this afternoon.
aand so far i love it haha.
the surgery was soo simple i was under a bit of morphine but awake the entire time.
got dizzy at first and sleepy but woke up.
it didnt hurt at all and i thought it was even less painful than a picc line!

cant wait to find out how it works with me and suuch.

thanks to everyone who suggested it and everyone who showed me pics of theirs.
i got a really low profile one.

glad u got one...I'm on number 5...first one was placed in April 1984 so Things have gotten wayyy better...did u get a "power port"? I got one in may of '09 and it has worked soooooooo well!!!! good luck girl <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
