Hi and welcome to our little world. Congratulations on the little one. I have a new granddaughter,3 weeks old. I am sorry you have to be here but glad you found us. I dont have any knowlege of the mentioned mutations, sorry.
I just wanted to comment to commend you for being involved and trying to find out as much as you can. You will be a great asset to your grandson and his parents. We need all the support we can get.
We have a couple of very involved grandmothers on here and I love it. I am sure they could offer you some support. I am a grandmother, 9 x's, but my daughter is the one with CF.

Hello, my two year old grandson was dx on 3/10/10 and I was wondering if you could help me on something since it appears you have the experience. Regarding enzymes: they told us it should not be mixed with fat but now the nurses are saying its ok to put it in his boost (which is like a liquid meal for kids / kids' essential etc.). Could you tell me if its ok for my dtr to mix it in that sought of liquid? He has been in the hospital since 3/7 and is not expected to leave until at least 4/1/10

The nurses are wrong, you shouldn't mix it into the boost. You should mix it in a little bit of applesauce (or something equally acidic) and have him swallow it -- THEN he can drink the boost.
