Hey!
My name is Whitney Seale, and I am from a very small town in east Texas. My brother, John David is 21 years old, and has had a very hard struggle with CF. During the past two years, he has been in the hospital an average of 2-3 weeks every month. Two years ago this month, John was put on the double lung trasplant list, and on October 15, 2005, we recieved a call from Baylor Hospital informing us that there was a compatible set of lungs available. After about 20 hours of waiting we were informed that the lungs had a bruise and they would not be able to transplant them. On November 1, around 11:30, John went into surgery, and came out Wed. morning around 6:30 with a new set of lungs!!!! He is doing great and I just wanted to let all of you know in hopes of giving you maybe a little hope, or something to look forward to. I wish you all the best, and my prayers are always with you all!

Love,

Tell your brother Congrats!! I wish him all the best-it must be so exciting, it's almost like starting a new life, or at least starting your life over again. I know how hard it must have been being in the hospital all that time, my brother who also happened to be 21, was in for a full year trying to get listed for transplant.

I'm so happy for you and your family!!!
