GREAT STRIDES TAKING STEPS TO CURE CYSTIC FIBROSIS

I haven't log on for a very long time. I am very sorry for not being part of this great family. I took it really hard when I lost two very close friends that I met here and felt I could not deal with talking and becoming close to anyone and maybe lose them.

I recently had a double lung transplant (seven months ago) I run 5 plus miles every day and swim 37 laps in my pool.

I feel great and with the new lungs I have a new life. I am a power seller on eBay and many of my items go to the Silver Fish foundation which send it to my local chapter of Cystic Fibrosis.

Now, on April 9th there is a 3k walk. I am going to run it and be the first one across the line. My wife, my brother and my sister in law are all walking it. But again I am going to run it and be the first CF to cross the line.

I really need your support. I need donations. You can donate anything from $1 to what ever you can afford. You can log into my website at www.AandAWorld.com there is a link there that will take you to the great strides site. You will see the walker as Jackie Fajardo that is my sister in law and she is the team captain. We want to hit or pass a $4000 mark.

Please log onto www.aandaworld.com and give anything you can spare.

Also I want to add a few short stories to the website for those who have no clue what CF is. I want some stories.

If you donate you can also send me your email as we are going to tape it and I will send you the Video of the walk. It will be held in Miami and the walk will be until Virginia Key Beach Park.

Capi, Please don't feel discouraged if you don't raise much money through this avenue. Many of us do our own fundraising. I am chairing a new walk site this year and have a goal of earning $25K.

It is easy to organize a small tag sale at a VFW hall which should yield you around $1K. How about you organize a wrap around event like this idea to help break out of your own network?

Good luck and I'd love to hear your ideas of generating funds. Many of us find our family and friends love photo montages to learn more about cf. I'll post mine as soon as it is finished.
