Gross Girly Problem

Something very important Once you buy them and you are ready to use this product store them in the fridge. When you take them out of the wrapper it will come out in one piece instead of a vaseline consistency. This way you are getting every bit out. I never tried putting them in the freezer but might give that a try one day. They melt very quickly. When you are ready to use one, take it out of the fridge.

This is what it states on the box

Tea Tree Suppositories with tea tree oil provide relief from rectal and vaginal pruritis (itching), soothe inflamed anal mucosa to contain the spread of rectal and vaginal infection and may help control candida (yeast overgrowth). Suppositories with Tea Tree Oil for Vaginal and Anal Hygiene. The Tea Tree Therapy Suppository is a natural way to provide anal and vaginal hygiene.

I havent read all the responses , but did read some,so forgive me if this has been mentioned already....But with yeast infections if you are having sex, you and your partner could be passing it back and forth to each other....hence- why it always seems to be there. When one has a yeast infection and there is sex involved , both partners need to be treated for it. Other than that i also read where you can not only eat yogurt, but you can apply plain yogurt to the affected area ( only on the outside) I have never tried this myself, but i would think it just might have soothing possibilities, who knows?

I have dabbed a cloth in vinegar and wiped with that several times a day. Sometimes it helps. Thats' kind of an old wives trick.

I have also been told that when it comes to a cellular level, candida feeds off of dairy/fat/meat products. So in the middle of a yeast inf you should stop dairy and any fatty meats too. (this is what my nutritionist told me) Doing that, combined with the vinegar and taking a Probiotic every day (such as PB8 which you can get at most healthfood stores) has stopped my infections.

But I hear you-when you have them, man they hurt.

Emily, Perhaps you have vaginitis, but not yeast. BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) was a problem for me. A health care provider could examine and test to see what is troubling you.

Another note, I don't know if you are on the pill, but they can cause yeast infections too. That was another source of my problem. I discontinued the pill and that really reduced infections. Also if you don't get regular periods, your constant changing hormones can help an infection occur. </end quote>

No pill, no periods, no nothing. Had a hysterectomy 4 years ago. But thanks for the advice on the yogurt and the pills. Maybe I'll just start taking them again. I used to be on them when I was on Zithromax Mon, Wed, Fri. I stopped when I went off. I guess I can just start taking them all the time again.

Risa, suppositories, sounds like fun.

Liz, I don't even own tight pants. LOL Though sweating may be a problem. This one started after the AC in this f*cking house broke again. I HATE LIVING HERE!!! Anyways....

Amy:
1. Nope. I swim very very rarely.
2. I have other than cotton, but not too many. And when I feel these starting to maybe appear, I switch to only cotton, and they still hang around.
3. Last time I was hospitalized, I'm sure. 2 years ago. Been on IVs since then, but only at home. I was negative on both. Still pretty sure I'm negative on AIDS. Heh. I might have CFRD, though, I suppose. I do get hypoglycemia. I'll have to ask next appointment.
4. Nope.

Lindsey, do you mean Summer's Eve body wash (more sensitive to that area), or the actual douche?

Christian- What kind of vineager? I thought that foods that contain vineager can breed yeast? So I was just curious as to where you heard about this? I know you said old wives tale did your nutritionist tell you about this too? I am interested in knowing more. Thanks

I actually have this problem as well, it is horrible at this point and I just got acidophillus pills about 2 weeks ago, but can't really notice much of a difference. I also took 3 days worth of Diflucan. I am on Azithro everyday so I do think that is the culprit. I am going to try some of your ideas. HOpe they help, I am fed up with this junk. I don't think that mine ever really goes away, just gets worse and not as bad at times. Very irritating, literally! I feel for ya Em

after showering take a blow dryer and blow dry the coulow area. Keeping it dry is important. Buy a cotton skirt and wear it around the house with no undies. Go to bed with no undies or where a long nite shirt unless you are using the tea tree suppositories *then you need to wear something*

always change undies a few times daily. Not sure if this was mentioned. If you do not like yogurt try the kefir. It is so good and the first sip you feel like you are drinking wine. Just do not buy the plain as it does not taste too good. It is better for you but you will not like it.
You can buy Kefir in most grocery stores.

I would not wear jeans because they do not breathe as well. I wear cotton yoga pants and they look good too. I am still not sure what is better cotton panties or the wick away panties.

I do not use tea tree oil all the time so I need to start using Mon, wed and fri. like medication. I think you can become sensitive to it if you use it everyday of the month.

If you decide to buy some I would use everyday for two weeks like it states and go to the gyn and get tested to see if you still have it. If you use it the first time and it does not feel comfortable then I would not continue to use it. It should feel like a cool feeling but not a burning feeling.

I told my GYN about tea tree and he tells his patients.

Amy, no thongs. Haha. I wear thongs VERY rarely. I will wear one once in a blue moon, for Mike... and if I do that, generally it's off again in less than an hour (often just a few minutes). So I doubt it's thongs. But thanks for the info. Makes sense, bacteria ewwwww.

My advice to you is aviod processed sugars or at least cut down on them. Yeast thrives on sugar. I know a lady that all it takes for her to get a yeast infection is to eat anything with the tiniest bit of sugar and bamm!! a full blown infection. Totally eat lots of yogurt, sounds like you know about the acidolphilus , Avoid sugary things, look at food labels when they break down the sugars like 1 gram, 2 grams ect.....if you are super careful for a couple of weeks with the processed sugars that may get rid of the demon for you. Some of us cannot handle the sugar too well and it gives us yeast infections. Totally worth passing up the sweets to gain a much more comfortable quality of life. You can always up the protein and the good carbs to increase your food intake to compensate for the loss of the sugar carbs in your diet. Sugar is feeding your yeast I am certain of it.

I notice personally that if I watch my sugar intake I can aviod getting an infection. Sugar is a depressant. It works against our immune system. Makes it harder for us to stay well. Avoid the stuff that is loaded with sugar like POP, Candy, Cookies, Cakes, Frostings, maybe try another form of sweetener if you live for sugar flavor. Some people have a sweet tooth. Splenda I think right now is the least toxic of the artificial sweeteners. It is the only one I have tried that has not made me ill.

I wish you only the best and improved health and comfort to you.

I have similar problems when not on antibiotics. I will give my input! Is it possible that Mike & you are giving it back & forth to each other from intercourse. Robert & I had that at one time. If this is possible then he needs to be treated also otherwise its a vicious cycle. Otherwise I aint got notin for ya kid!

I just wanted to say, b/c someone mentioned that they started acidophilus and haven't seen a difference-jsut remember that when you go the natural/herb/or supplement route it can take longet to see a change. Even up to a month+. That's why it gets frustrating. I try to do things herbally and such first (if I can and its not serious of course), and I get so annoyed b/c it takes so long to see a difference!

Just thought I'd mention it, b/c its such a common complaint. I've heard it from almost every naturopath I've been to.

When I get a yeast infection they tell me not use use soap to clean only water. It seems to help it go away faster. The perfumes from soap make it worse. Also I have been told that yeast infection should not be smelly. If it has an odor it could be caused by something else. My suggestion is to go see your gyno as soon as possible. Hope this helps!

You can buy tea tree oil soap and that is safe to use. helps keep the yeasties away. Blow dryer after shower helps. Also it is a good idea to aim the blow dryer on all areas even your Butt especially if you have yeast growing. Keep yourself DRY.

Keep your hands away from crotch. You never know if you can spread the yeast to your eyes. Can you imagine getting itchy eyes and having to explain to your doctor how you think you got this.... omgosh

Just for some more info that is related......... whenever you wipe your coulow never use the same tissue to wipe your butt. Always use a clean tissue. Whever is in your coulow can spread to other areas.
