Does anyone have an info about the flu shot(s) for this year? I am hoping they are all combined this year -it would make things much easier. Of course-I'll do whatever I need to do....but one shot is good! Good for my kids too!

Also-when do you usually get your shots? My doctor advices me to wait for October (towards the end) so you will stay covered through March/April.

The mailer I got from Walgreens said regular flu shots will also protect against H1N1, so I believe 1 shot will protect against both

My doctor always advised me to get my flu shot asap, so I just get it whenever my schedule permits, but usually early in the season

Yes, the 'regular' flu shot will protect against H1N1 as well. Good for the convenience, and the pocketbook!

It's a combined shot this year with both strains of flu included (flu shot always includes several strains, so this yr they included h1n1.) Immunity lasts long enough to be able to get the shot early and be protected well into the spring.

Great-thanks so much for the info. The flu shots are out already here-should I wait or go get it now? Early September seems so early!

Of course-I am in the middle of an infection right now so I probably should wait until that is done....
