<br />typically i don't stop treatments for streaking (only for full-on blood, like a mouthful or more), but other docs might have different approaches. </end quote>

Was your initial streaking bright red, obvious bleeding? I'd never heard of having to reduce treatments due to just streaking in sputum... I will have to ask Emily's drs some specific questions about this, because we see some bloody streaks in her sputum w/ her exacerbations and I've always increased her treatments when I see that (since it only happens when she's exceptionally sick so I've figured the extra treatments would help.)

With her last exacerbation she was coughing to the point of vomiting when doing her vest but having some relief from the cough once she was done w/ her nebs & vest; she would have been awful if she couldn't have done her treatments. As far as I know, her doctors know that this happens to her, but I will have to make sure of this. I'm glad I saw this thread.

She's never had a 'real' bleed, thank goodness. (She's only 9.) She does albuteral, pulmozyme, pulmacort (and vest) ...no HTS or inhaled abx.
