Headache soooo bad =-(

Hey, everyone. I've been coughing so much lately, especially in the morning, I'm getting terrible headaches, and also the coughing takes up all my energy for the rest of the day. Nothing new, of course, but it's just been happening a lot lately and it's really discouraging. I was driving the other day, and I was afraid I was gonna pass out my headache got so bad. I also get really weak in my arms, shoulders and back. Anyway, I just felt like veting 'cause I'm soo tired of feeling this way. i'll be all right, though. Usually by night time i start to feel a little better. =-) I hope everyone else is doing okay, take care, everyone.

(oh, and in reference to the recently locked thread, it is "aye" =-) People would say either aye or nay. I don't know if that was just a voting thing, or if people actually talked that way =-)

Do you think you could have a sinus infection? My ds is a lot younger than you (6 actually) but he has terrible sinus problems and his cough is always the very worst first thing in the morning when his sinuses are the worst. He, too, complains of "killer" headaches. Do you use any nasal steroid sprays like nasonex, flonase, nasocort, rhinocort, etc? We also do the nasal washes with baking soda, salt, and sterile water. THey seem to help a lot.

my arms and legs hurt when i cough a lot too..sometimes when i am driving i have to pull over because my leg shakes so much. it sucks. i get totally worn out from it. good luck

Ha ha, yeah, I hate that leg shaking thing! Sooo embarassing in public. As if the coughing itself wasn't bad enough! =-)

The only time I get headaches is when I cough a lot. They are pounding, and i'ts like someone is setting off a load of dynomite in your head. My face gets all red, and I feel like my head is going to explode.

I know the feeling, Jarod. It does take up a lot of energy. I hope your headaches get better soon. <img src="i/expressions/sun.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/rose.gif" border="0">

Jarod have you tried excedrine migrain. It takes mine right away. As for the aching I use ibuprophen. But don't take them together. I get both not usually at the same time. Becky

I take a lot of Ib profin for aches and pains, never for the headaches, though, because I know it won't make a difference. I've never tried excedrin, I'll have to look into it. =-) I'm going to see the doctor on Thursday, and start IV antibiotics. My cough is still really terrible and getting worse, so I guess it's that time again. =-)

You probably have an infection and should tell the doctor soon cause it's only gonna get worse! trust me, I know from experience. Good luck though.

i used to get really bad headaches...until i started sleeping with a bi-pap machine.. my blood gases were dropping too low when i slept which caused me to have headaches..still maybe get a headache but not nearly as bad or as often
